Mntungwa Scotch was born and raised in Mdantsane, Eastern Cape. He represented his school during orals and would be motivated by his teacher to continue with his writing and creativity. Ever since high school, Mntungwa has never stopped writing.
In 2020 when the country was on Level 5, Mntungwa decided to create a Facebook page for poetry since he wanted to take his art to another level. He also saw a gap that the pandemic had created in the market and started to sell branded masks. That idea assisted him grow his business by selling caps, sweaters, track pants and beanies. After the business started to take off, he decided to create a platform called Home of Art, where all artists can be offered an opportunity to showcase and develop their art forms.
